- Started camping at Xcacel in 1986, and have been hooked, and have gone there every year since. We finally took the plunge and bought a lot in Tankah in 1999 and started building our house Casa del Perro Feliz, in 2002. We were fortunate to be able to explore the Tulum/ Akumal area before it was developed. Even with all of the progress(?) we still are addicted and love it there!
