Hi David;
If you head into town a favortite spot is Don Cafeto and El Pequena Buenos Aires. There is also a little place on the same side of the steeet down a little bit and they sell whole chickens along with tortillas, salsa, and other condiments.....Great for a picnic lunch ( and it's in expensive, about $7 US for 2 people)
If you head of to the beach road stop in at Zulum, Cabanas Copal, Zamas, Pierda Escondida, or Ana y Jose Beach Club, they all have really good local food.
Let me know if you have any more questions before you take off.
Kris
Hi David;

Dreams Tulum is a beautiful resort, I am sure you will love it. It is located north of town so you will have a couple of options for your adverutres. You can take any of the excellent guided tours to the ruins, Coba, dolphin swin, the jungle, etc.... or you can rent a car, driving in MX is very easy and safe.
What do you like to do? How comfortable are you driving? How long are you down (-:
Post your questions. There are lots of folks here who can help you. Again, welcome to the forum (-:

About Me:
Lived in the Keys and Key West for 5 years. I love the Caribbean and anywhere in the gulf. I am a retired chef turned IT guy and I love to eat. I will be traveling to Tulum and will be staying at Dreams in two weeks and I would like to know if anyone here has any suggestions on what to do and places to visit. I would really like a suggestion of great restaurants in town.
