Hola Abril,
Welcome to the Social Club. We started this site for folks to become familiar with what Tulum has to offer. Feel free to post stories of suggestions for people who have never been there before to show what Tulum is all…
Hi Toni;
Depends on what kind of tour you are looking for....there are a couple of different tours that have the ruins and other activities together, Tulum/Xelha and the Maya Encounter www.tulum.com, clivk on activities.
Let me know if you have any questions about them.
Kris
Hi Kris
Thanks so much for your warm welcome and your suggestions! It's a very hard decision on where to stay - we are really struggling! Lucy & I are not high matienence people, so we really don't mind a little rustic (but safe and clean is a must!) We are also very much beach girls - so a nice stretch of beach with good swimming etc is also important! We had a look at Zulum and although it looks truly amazing, it's probably a little over our budget - we were thinking between $100 - $150 a night ....
Any other tips would be gratefully accepted - we have been searching the internet and looking at Trip Advisor, but are still really unsure!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
Hi Kris, sorry we didn't meet while you were here.
What kind of kayaking are you looking for? Ocean, Lagoon, tours or guides or on your own?
We have kayaks that our guests use to get to and from the reef for snorkeling...Cesiak does guided tours, Niki at Serinidad Shardon in Punta Allen rents them on the ocean side, Capi Ha does week long kayaking tours with guides and you stay and eat at thier place. (THey are my closest neighbors @ 4 km north) I know Sol Caribe has them too, but don't know if they rent them or not? (they are my closest neighbors to the south 16 kms away!)
I noticed you've been here 2 x in 9 months! Good job. What kind of stuff do you like to do here, have you been coming long?
Hi Kris,
Sounds like you had a great trip. You can also check with some of the travel agencies in Tulum, I recommend Savana Travel....great people and airconditioned internet service!
Yes, I manage Xamach Dos a small cabana rental hotel on the beach in Sian kaan. we have a restaurant for our guests and it is truly a special place.
Thanks for the great welcome - we are coming Dec 31 and leaving January 7 - looking for suggestions for great cheap lodging by the ocean. Any suggestions I know it is kind of late......we're checking guidebooks.Judy

Hi Kris and thank you for the welcome! My gal and I are both military, she lives in the middle of the Atlantic and I live in San Antonio. We plan on getting together again the last week of January. I'm looking for a secluded cabana, away from kids, roads, TVs, etc...for a week of absolute stress free relaxation. What is the night life like in Tulum? Is it an all-inclusive arrangement? I have no idea on pricing, etc. Any information you can provide would be most welcome! Thank you again.
Scott

Not on my way quite yet, but I am packing already! Will be getting to the resort Thursday around 1:30. I was hoping someone would be able to recommend a nice local spot to eat in town, any ideas?
